AVEVA / OSIsoft PI Systems Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled, experienced software engineer with direct OSlsoft Pl system product experience in real-time data collection and analysis to join a diverse team of engineers, developers, analysts, and administrators to design, implement and support Pl Systems.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration or equivalent hands-on experience.

Work Experience:

  • OSI PI: 3 years (Preferred)

JOB RESPONSIBILITY:

  • Software development in Pl Visualization Suite, Pl Integrator for ESRl and ArcGIS, and Pl AF System Explorer Design.
  • Develops and applies advanced methods, theories, and research techniques in the investigation and solution of complex and advanced software applications and problems. Technical Design including writing functional and technical specifications.
  • Resolves highly complex hardware/software compatibility and interface design considerations.
  • System installation, configuration, performance testing, and tuning.
  • Develop system models, visualizations and dashboards, analytical equations and reports
  • Provides input to staff involved in writing and updating technical documentation such as user manuals, system documentation, and training materials. Developing best practice designs incorporating the full OSlsoft stack.
  • Serves as a customer interface to resolve problems and ensure requirements are met on a timely basis.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration or equivalent hands-on experience.
  • Deep experience with minimum of 5 years (for the senior level) hands-on systems experience in OSIsoft PI System and with working knowledge in one or more of the OSIsoft PI System functional modules.
  • Experience with at least two full life cycle implementations of OSIsoft PI System modules and experience in dynamic support environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to resolve complex production issues.
  • Ability to work with all levels of the organization, both technical and non-technical.
  • Ability to facilitate interactive design and functional specification sessions.
  • Must be a “team player” able to work with management in developing and implementing new processes and enabling systems. Able to work with end user groups to define application needs and identify feasible solutions.
  • Strong analytical problem-solving, and conceptual skills.
  • Knowledge of systems and/or business analysis design concepts. Demonstrated proficiency in the applied use of systems and process analysis tools. Full system life cycle experience, including development lifecycle methodologies.
  • Good organizational skills, with the ability to meet objectives and effectively multi-task.
  • Proactive, self-motivated with the ability to motivate others and a customer-focused service attitude.
